Abstract

We report experimental evidence of self-pulsing instabilities leading to chaos in the 12 µm emission from a homogeneously broadened NH3 laser optically by pulsed CO2 laser radiation. These effects, observed here over a wide range of operating conditions for two independent laser emissions, are expected to be general for this class of laser. © 1985.
