Abstract
This study is situated within the field of environment and behaviour, considering functional needs related to location and orientation, as well as the degree of interaction between older users and urban space. It emphasises the influence of the built environment on older adults’ quality of life. According to the Global Age-Friendly Cities Guide (2008), the provision of information is particularly important in the context of public transport, including guidance on how to use the system, available transport options, services provided, timetables, frequency and the availability of accessible vehicles. Given issues such as reduced vision and the need for easily accessible information, the legibility and readability of texts were also highlighted as key concerns.
