Abstract
This article aims to analyze the impacts of urban interventions carried out in the city of Rio de Janeiro, in preparation for the 2016 Olympics, for populations in social vulnerability. The methodology used included: technical visits to the Olympic Park and urban intervention areas, semi-structured interviews with technicians involved in the Olympic Park, with residents of Vila Autódromo and with residents in other intervention areas (Morro da Providência and Morro do Vidigal). A content analysis was also undertaken to analyze the data collected. The results demonstrate the lack of commitment of entrepreneurs with the inclusion of the most vulnerable population and with the environment preservation.
