Abstract
This paper investigates how the water scarcity and food insecurity faced by Indigenous people in the Brazilian Amazon represent concrete manifestations of a global disorder rooted in historical colonialism, contemporary extractivist practices, and epistemic exclusion. Based on participatory research developed by the project "Amazon Indigenous Wisdom: Shaping Climate Solutions in Brazil," this paper proposes a reorientation of global environmental governance to incorporate Indigenous ontologies, climate justice, and historical reparation. The study combines field observations, interviews, critical analysis of public policies, and decolonial and intercultural theoretical contributions, aiming to rethink the centrality of indigenous knowledge in the formulation of more just climate futures.
