Abstract

There were a few mistakes (typos) in Eqs. (2) and (7) as they appeared in the text. The power of the second term in the denominator in Eq. (2) should be-2, i.e., the correct form of Eq. (2) should read {equation presented}. There are several typos in Eq. (7). All terms on the left-hand sides of Eq. (7) should not be divided into 1. The kaesr term in the first part of Eq. (7) should appear in the denominator, along with the coefficient v; fres should be replaced with f in the second and third parts, and aesr should also appear in the third part. The correct expressions in Eq. (7) should be {equation presented}. However, this did not affect our results as the model was coded correctly. All model simulated results presented in Figs. 4 and 5 were, therefore, still correct and not affected by the typos in the paper (Scoulding et al., 2015). ACKNOWLEDGMENTS We are grateful to Dr. Natalia Gorska at the Institute of Oceanology, Polish Academy of Sciences for bringing these errors to our attention.
