Abstract
The response of two engineering materials, H Co-based X-40 and an austenitic cast iron BS 3468, o erosion-corrosion was investigated in liquid-solid impingement conditions. The characteristics of the corrosjon behavior of the materials in static and erosioncorrosion conditions were compared and contrasted. For froth materials, the contribution made by corrosion and corrosion-related processes to material degradation is significant and can account for more than 40% of the total mass loss.
