Abstract
The near-adiabatic theory has been applied to the dissociative charge transfer of C2H4 with H2+ and He+ ions. The results are consistent with the proposition that the appearance potentials of the fragment ions correspond to the electronic energy levels of the C2H4+ ion. The internal-energy distribution of the primary-product C2H4+ ion is obtained by plotting the relative abundance against the appearance potential for the various fragment ions. © 1976.
