Abstract
The dissociative charge-transfer of CO with H2+ and He+ is an "internal energy resonant" process. The electron transfer produces CO+ ions in specified electronic states and the probability of forming these states varies with the translational energy of the reactant ion. CO+ fluorescence spectra and relative fluorescence cross-sections have been obtained and interpreted for H2+ bombardment. © 1978.
