Abstract

The dissociative charge-transfer of CO with H₂⁺ and He⁺ is an "internal energy resonant" process. The electron transfer produces CO⁺ ions in specified electronic states and the probability of forming these states varies with the translational energy of the reactant ion. CO⁺ fluorescence spectra and relative fluorescence cross-sections have been obtained and interpreted for H₂⁺ bombardment. © 1978.
