Abstract
In this communication we wish to point out the non-applicability of two significant assumptions in traditional ellipsometric literature, in the context of infrared ellipsometry of metals. The first concerns the choice of the optimum angle of incidence to maximize experimental accuracy and the second is related to the definition of ?p. the principal angle of incidence. © 1975.
