Abstract

In this chapter, we discuss about electrochemical techniques, their working principle, and application in detection of cancer. The different cancer biomarkers and their role in clinical monitoring, prognosis and recurrence possibilities in cancer has been discussed to understand the importance of these biomarkers. Further, the role of nanomaterials for fabrication of efficient electrochemical biosensor has been discussed. Different detection strategies employed for cancer detection and to study the effect of drug on cancer cell has been also listed with suitable examples.
