Abstract

Discussed in the paper is the effect on the point spread function of varying the most important digital signal processing parameters in the Heriot-Watt focused beamformer. Presented is an introduction to the hardware prototype demonstrator and future applications of this sonar. It is near completion, soon to be commissioned, and the results are anticipated in summer of '93.
