Dynamic Two-Axis Curvature Measurement using Multicore Fiber Bragg Gratings

Abstract

Two-axis curvature measurement is presented using Bragg gratings in a fourcore optical fiber. Dynamic differential strains between core pairs were measured using arrayed waveguide gratings to track arbitrary free vibration of a cantilever.
