Abstract
A technique is described, using a minimum of experimental complexity, which overcomes the directional ambiguity problem in Particle Image Velocimetry. Examples of the application of the technique to three different flow regimes are described and typical images presented. A description is given of the algorithms used to interpret the images and sample vector fields presented. © 1990 Springer-Verlag.
