Abstract
The migration of ionic species through saturated cementitious materials is investigated with the diffusion of aqueous ions through these porous system. The influence of temperature on the diffusivity of mature systems and associated activation energy for diffusion processes are analyzed. Results of the blending of pozzolanic materials with ordinary Portland cement (OPC) to form ternary systems showed a binder that outperforms either of the respective binary systems.
