Abstract
The the title compound [systematic name: 4-(2,2,4-trimethyl-chroman-4-yl) phenol-trichloroacetonitrile (6/1)], 6C(18)H(20)O(2)center dot C2Cl3N, the usual trigonal packing of the Dianin's compound host structure occurs. The guest is found in a host-guest ratio of 6:1. Cl center dot center dot center dot pi interactions serve to order the guest, thus facilitating its structural characterization.
