Abstract

We simulate a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar system involving a realistic target, which is a life-size land vehicle modeled using a EM simulator FEKO. Numerical results showing the detection performance of a MIMO radar are provided, which is measured based on multiple realizations of the channel matrix generated using the available FEKO data. The results validate in a practical setting the improvements in detection performance available from MIMO radar configurations.
