    Abstract

This Paper addresses the problem of reinforced concrete corner joints under closing loading, and it proposes a new reinforcement arrangement. The proposed solution has been examined experimentally and proved to be efficient. The results obtained from the laboratory-based investigation indicate that the proposed solution could also be applicable to earthquake-resistant structures.
