Abstract
The authors report the simultaneous operation of a two-dimensional array of all-optically bistable switches in ZnSe nonlinear interference filter using a dichromated gelatin (DCG) holographic array generator. By adopting various preprocessing and postprocessing techniques, they have been successful not only in achieving good consistency in DCG but also in predicting various parameters of individual holographic optical elements (HOEs), such as diffraction efficiency, uniformity and bandwidth. It is shown that the HOEs are capable of efficiently generating uniform two-dimensional arrays of laser beams for optical signal processing and digital optical computing applications.
