Abstract

For the first time, arrayed-waveguide-grating-based multi-port optical encoder/decoder and forward-error-correction technique are applied in OCDMA system. A novel 12-user, 10.71 Gbps truly asynchronous OCDMA experiment has been successfully demonstrated to transmit ITU-T G.709 OTN frames.
