Abstract

We investigate the Green Building Incentive mechanisms to overcome identified barriers in adoption. With the aim of increasing the overall efficiency of the certification system, integration with the blockchain is proposed. Further, the blockchain concept and its applications are introduced. Blockchain-related incentive mechanisms and their intricate relationship with design and governance are also highlighted, through a systematic review. We conclude with the need for a stakeholder survey for the mostsuitable blockchain design and governance.
