Abstract

In this paper, a new method for conduction loss calculation of cascaded type multilevel inverter is proposed. This method can be applied to any carrier-based PWM technique and also can be used for conduction loss calculation of the simple two level inverter. © 2004 Heriot-Watt University, UK.
