Abstract

This concluding chapter co-written by the three book co-editors aims to integrate and sum up the book and its lessons learned. A capsule description reviews the status of psychology around the globe and notes international trends in the growth of psychology and its expansion throughout the world. Key works in international psychology are described, and suggestions for further reading in psychology and related disciplines are offered. Among the recommendations are encouragements for readers interested in psychology in Southeast Asia to delve not only into social science sources, but also into sources in the humanities, such as literature, cinema, music, art, and history. Additionally, the benefits of attending and participating in disciplinary conferences are noted. The chapter concludes by providing information and contact details for professional psychology associations in Southeast Asia.
