Abstract

A study was made of the parameters that can be optimized for improved control of the process cycle for the application of reactive dyes in package dyeing. The aim was to monitor and control different parameters such as dye liquor temperature, pressure, fluid flow rate and direction, pH, and dye concentration in the liquor. This was achieved by the development of a pilot scale dyeing machine monitored by a computer-based data logging and control system.
