Abstract

In this paper a number of techniques which can be used for performing cooperative diversity in a cellular based network are presented. Initially the idea of cooperative diversity, and the constraints on the system are introduced. Two different implementations using space-time techniques are suggested and compared with the non-cooperative case. It is shown that cooperative diversity can dramatically improve performance of a network in terms of outage probability.
