A discussion on the comparison of nonequilibrium molecular dynamics of a low-molecular-weight fluid (squalane) with experimental measurements in both the non-linear (non-Newtonian) and linear (Newtonian) regimes was presented. This was the first experimental test of nonequilibrium molecular dynamics simulations in the nonlinear regime and represented the first comparison of the nonlinear rheology predicted by nonequilibrium molecular dynamics (NEM). The results showed that the simulation and experimental data followed time-temperature superposition and the same master curve.
