Abstract

The implementation of a compact CPW-fed elliptical monopole antenna that demonstrates good impedance match and omni-directional radiation patterns in the whole ultra wide band range (UWB) is discussed in this paper. The proposed antenna is fabricated on 100 μm thick liquid crystal polymer (LCP) with an overall board dimension of 32 mm × 30 mm. Return loss and radiation pattern measurements are in very good agreement with the simulated results.
