Abstract

This letter presents the latest development of a compact three-dimensional (3-D) metal printed filtering antenna, which integrates a Yagi-Uda-like antenna and selective filter into a 3-D printable metal structure. The designed filtering antenna exhibits high selectivity, gain, and efficiency with very compact profiles. Direct metal 3-D printing techniques are used to fabricate a C-band filter and a filtering antenna for experimental validation. The measured results showed good agreement with simulated ones.
