Abstract

This study develops an innovative vehicle design concept suited to the unique topographic and economic conditions of mountainous regions, emphasizing circular economy principles. This research examines agricultural logistics challenges in West Java, Indonesia, where poor transport infrastructure weakens agricultural competitiveness. We conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses to assess logistical constraints and the efficacy of vehicle modification solutions. Findings show that logistical challenges cause an estimated 20% annual crop yield loss. Additionally, the study identifies key factors influencing technology adoption, such as affordability, accessibility and compatibility with local conditions. Results indicate that the proposed vehicle modifications, aligned with circular economy principles, have the potential to enhance logistics efficiency significantly. The proposed vehicle offers a sustainable transport model adaptable to various highland regions.
