Abstract
The influence of climate and weather upon buildings has always been a major focus of attention and ongoing research. The influence of buildings upon microclimate has become a subject of growing concern but much more research is required. In addition, a greater holistic understanding of how buildings interact with their microclimates is required. Microclimatological data available to building designers, constructors and managers is still generally of poor quality. © 1991.
