Abstract

A femtosecond-seeded optical parametric amplifier based on MgO:APPLN is described which employs a chirped-pulse amplification approach to produce a low coherence length, nanosecond output at 1.55 µm with a FWHM bandwidth of 100nm. © 2005 IEEE.
