N2 - Autonomous vehicles are now becoming increasingly common on our roads. They offer the potential to enhance road safety, provide comfort for drivers and decrease traffic problems. However, this advanced technology has been shown to potentially have negative effects, such as loss of situation awareness, vigilance decrement or over-trust. Nevertheless, gaps still remain regarding understanding of this novel technology, e.g., what are the main factors to predicting acceptance of the technology between different countries, or how do different age groups respond to it? To answer these questions, a mixed-method project was undertaken.
