Abstract

The beam propagation and transformation of waveguide array and slab CO2 lasers are investigated. A comparison of the beam quality before and after transformation based upon internal resonator modification and external binary optical transformation is presented, as well as the effect of the binary phase transformation on subsequent periodic self-imaging properties of the beam.
