Abstract

Asymptotic accuracy of the continual theory of stability of laminated high-elastic composites consisting of alternating layers of the filler and binder is proved. Layers are simulated by any incompressible elastic body. The study is performed by means of the three-dimensional linearized theory of stability of deformed bodies under finite strains. Numerical evaluation of the accuracy and applicability area of the continual theory of an internal instability is obtained for the boron-aluminium composite. Boron is considered as a compressible linear-elastic isotropic body, aluminium - as incompressible elastoplastic body with a power-mode dependence between intensities of stresses and strains.
