Abstract

This work deals with the transient analysis of crystal size distribution (CSD) in a continuous sodium chloride crystallizer. The crystallization is assumed to take place under diffusion controlled conditions and the crystal growth models reported by Sen Gupta and Dutta elsewhere have been used. Monte Carlo (MC) scheme has been employed for simulation purposes. The simulation results have been compared with the available experimental data at steady state.
