Abstract

The use of photochromic dyes offers exciting new possibilities for application to textile pigment printing. Five photochromic dyes were printed onto cotton and polyester substrates in this preliminary study. Color measurement before and after UV excitation, fading, washfastness, crockfastness, and lightfastness were investigated.
