Abstract
An accelerated successive substitution (ASS) method for bubble and dew point pressure calculations has been developed. The method iterates on a single variable, pressure, which represents a considerable simplification over multivariable schemes. The proposed ASS method has been compared with other commonly used methods to predict the saturation pressures of a number of fluids. The results indicate that the ASS method is more rapid and robust than the other evaluated methods. © 1992.
