Abstract

The reflection parameters of the right-angled waveguide tee-junction containing a dielectric post resonator are, in general, except for one position of the resonator, different at the main and the side waveguide ports. Its description therefore requires two different definitions of its port variables. One purpose of this article is to locate the position which displays electrical symmetry at the three ports. This is done at a frequency of 13.25 GHz in WR75 waveguide. Another is to replace the dielectric resonator by a magnetized gyromagnetic one in order to produce a degree-1 H-plane tee-junction circulator. (c) 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
