Abstract

The internet is currently seen as key area for promotion initiatives. Mobile phone apps and social networking sites create opportunities for MSM to find sex partners, and provide opportunities for the provision of sexual health information. Using SMS for sexual health means is both effective and acceptable. Recent work has suggested YMSM were willing to participate in HIV prevention programmes via smart phone apps. Less clear, is the acceptability of different online sexual health promotion approaches to the target audience and in addition, the acceptability of the different technologies used to deliver this information. Phone apps and social networking sites create opportunities for the provision of sexual health information.
