Abstract
Recently a single-stepping debugging aid which could be used on 6800-based microprocessor systems provided that slight modifications are made to the hardware of the machines was described. This paper describes a more elaborate trace facility which does not require any modifications to the hardware but which uses the software interrupt facility in combination with an interpreter for branch instructions as the basic mechanism for single-stepping. © 1981.
