A torque ripple reduction strategy for direct torque control

Abstract

A duty cycle scheme for direct torque control (DTC) is presented. The scheme gives a lower torque ripple than conventional DTC and also controls the mean value of torque. Practical results show that a considerable reduction in torque ripple is achieved at low speeds.
