Abstract
A simple device has been developed for the rapid estimation of the "diffusibility" of a gas within porous solids. The apparatus is inexpensive and operates on the non-steady-state principle, unlike the majority of such devices which maintain a constant mass transfer driving force across the porous plug of solid. Measurements of the diffusibility of moulded plugs of silver carbonate and silver oxide have been made and are compared with established published data. © 1972.
