Abstract

Recent advances in alternative nanophotonic materials, specifically CMOS-compatible materials, have propelled a unique class of integrated optical devices to achieve high performance including low-loss plasmonic waveguides, ultra-compact electro-absorption modulators, and THz speed all-optical switches.
