Abstract

In this article, the design of a Tee shaped K and Ka band 3-dB power divider with open circuit stub is presented. The Substrate Integrated Coaxial Line (SICL) based 4-input and 16-output power divider multi-layer network is also designed for a potential application as beamforming network in an antenna array. For better performance and bandwidth, an open circuit stub and stepped impedance transformers are used in this design. The open circuit stub also helps to match the impedance at a particular frequency according to different design requirements. Both simulated and measured results are presented for the demonstration.
