    Abstract

    An assessment guideline for implementing earth-sheltered housing for hot-arid climates is presented. The literature is first searched in order to investigate the advantages and disadvantages of the earth-sheltered scheme. This literature search forms the rationale for the relevant stages of the assessment guideline. Each stage is discussed and possible methods of application are presented. © 2004 Elsevier B.V.
