Abstract

Surface design is commonly seen as pattern prints on textiles. Applications, materials and technologies involved in surface design are more intricate though, especially concerning three dimensional textiles comparing to conventional two dimensional textiles. Applying a similar structure of the engineered surface classification, it was possible to propose a classification of textile surface design, according to its functions and performance.
