Abstract

This paper presents a new 3-D metal printed inline quasi-elliptic bandpass filtering structure comprised of metal air slotted disc-like resonators, which allow controlling the electric and magnetic inter-resonator couplings separately to generate desired transmission zeros. For demonstration, a four-pole filter of this type was designed and fabricated using metal 3-D printing techniques. The EM-simulation and measurement have shown interesting and promising results, which are presented in this paper.
