Abstract
In this paper, a Ka-band power divider/combiner structure based on a double-side slotted waveguide technology is proposed. The novel structure uses slots on both sides of the waveguide to divide/combine the power thus reducing half the size compared to previous power dividers/combiners structures, based on similar technology. The 4-way combiner design is the first step toward the design/development of a 40-W Ka-band spatial power amplifier, aimed to operate at the 29-31 GHz band. The validation of this design is performed by means of simulations using a commercially available Full-Wave Electromagnetic (FWEM) simulator; e.g., the CST CAD Tool.
