Abstract
As the COVID-19 pandemic spreads around the world, remote conference interpreting has become the new normal for international conference interpreting. This article reviews the development history of remote conference interpreting technology, examines the mainstream platforms for remote conference simultaneous interpretation in the world, analyzes the main functions, usability, scalability, and characteristics and shortcomings of each platform, and summarizes the equipment and technical requirements for interpreters in remote conference simultaneous interpretation. This article aims to help the industry grasp the new trends in the interpreting industry and provide guidance for the use of remote conference interpreting.
