The Grand Challenges for Engineering: The implementation of the Partition of Unity Finite Element Method for elastic wave problems in three dimensions was presented at the Society of Petroleum Engineers R&D Competition under the title Multi-Wavelength Sized Finite Elements for Subsurface Imaging.
