John M. Prausnitz Award in Applied Chemical Thermodynamics for significant and lasting contributions to the field of applied chemical thermodynamics

Prize: Prize (including medals and awards)

Description

Awarded by the organizing committee of the triennial International Conference on Properties and Phase Equilibria for Product and Process Design (PPEPPD). The most distinguished award in chemical engineering thermodynamics, this award is given every three years to a scientist for his/her outstanding contribution in the field of physical properties and phase equilibria for product and process design. Citation: For outstanding research accomplishments in the study of water and aqueous solutions in bulk and at interfaces, and the elucidation of the molecular basis for phase transitions in nanoconfined fluids.
